The front of Gardener's Cottage through the trees
Gardeners Cottage was originally built as gardener's accommodation by Lord Durham who owned and lived in the manor house next door.

The cottage offers very comfortable living and sleeps 4 people in tastefully furnished, centrally heated accommodation, with a lovely south facing garden to relax in.

After a full refurbishment last July our first guests were so delighted with the property they have booked again this year.

There is a huge network of footpaths and bridleways running from the property, and the area abounds with wildlife. We regularly see deer, foxes, badgers and buzzards from the garden, and the village peacocks often drop in to see us.

The village pub serves a range of beers and excellent food (we can vouch for this!) and is only a short walk away. A small shop and tea room, a village pub, playground/tennis court and church can be found in Compton, less than a mile up the road.

Whilst most of our guests book 1 or 2 week stays, we offer short breaks between September and April where we have availability. Do call to check availability - what could be nicer than a lovely long weekend in the countryside to relax and unwind.

ROMANTIC AUTUMN BREAK FOR 2 - Special rates for that romantic weekend/short break. Email or call us for details 02392 631729.
